In this high-pressure, stressful world that we live in today, they is a need to eat properly. Eating the right food will not only prevent all kinds of illness and disease, but it will also make you feel good; by this I mean you will be fitter and healthier and as a consequence you will be able to carry out your work and other duties more proficiently.
When the phrase nutritional products is mentioned, most of us think that that kind of food is for those who are in training for a sports competition or under orders from their doctor and it is certain to be boring and tasteless. Hence it doesn’t apply to those who are in general good health. But it is wrong to think like this. Nutritious food is good for everyone whatever their current state of health and it certainly needn’t be boring.
Physical activity is as important as healthy eating and the latter can reduce the likelihood of heart disease, cancer, stroke and diabetes.
In the US, two-thirds of the population is overweight and obesity rates in children have doubled over the past twenty years. This is cause for great concern, because if the situation is not addressed, these youngsters will have many serious health problems in years to come. Obviously fast-food is a predominant factor here and this is examined in a later section.
